Updated for 2024, this introduction is great for anyone who needs to understand the basis of liability insurance. We will present an overview of the legal system in the United States and discuss the two main types of liability that can be imposed on individuals and organizations. When liability arises out of a duty imposed by law, we will discuss how the law imposes that duty and what can happen next. This session will wrap up with a discussion of the purposes and protections of liability insurance.
