Hard markets cause all kinds of problems. It's hard to place even the simplest of accounts. There's always something causing the insureds problems because companies just don't want to write the same kind of business that they did even a year or two ago. When that happens, it's often up to the agent to replace coverage and in a hard market, finding a new carrier that wants to write the business can be challenging and that challenge can create more troubles.
